The ClientOur client, Brick Court Chambers, is a leading set of commercial and EU barristers’ Chambers in the heart of the City, opposite the Royal Courts of Justice on The Strand, London. We were working with a committee of six staff members including two Barristers, the Senior Clerk and the Office Manager. |
The ChallengeThere were a number of issues which needed to be addressed such as: reconfiguration of the working and seating areas; improving the ambient light levels and introducing task and mood lighting; and tackling an uneven sub floor. The additional challenge was accommodating the design around the landlord's fixtures and fittings. |

The Design BriefThe reception area of any office creates that first all important impression to clients and peers; we were asked to create an airy and open working environment as well as a relaxing space for clients and visitors. Having resided in the building for over 10 years without significant change, our client was keen to modernize and reinvigorate the reception area. |
The client was delighted that we had maintained the professional, prestigious and high profile nature of the Chambers, without creating an environment that was austere or compromising on comfort and functionality. |
