Interior Design: Guest Bedroom

‘We engaged Dovetail Design to bring a contemporary but welcoming feel to our guest bedroom, which has not been altered since the house was built 7 years ago. Our requirements were simple: make it bright and airy with a hint of French boudoir chic. Kyla and Helen worked really hard and completed the project well within the time frame required. They have produced a most beautiful room: with elegant and striking wallpaper on one wall, the whole room looks bright and sophisticated.

The finished room blends together in a way we would not have been able to achieve: even the finishing touches of the curtain rosettes match with the whole feel of the room to give it that grand sophisticated feel.

Our French style guest room is simply delightful.’

The Client A couple living in a recently built property in Solihull, who wanted to put their mark on the guest bedroom and turn it into an inviting space with a feminine and French shabby chic theme. The key priorities for the clients were that the project come in on time and on budget.		The Challenge Our clients were on a tight budget with the redesign of the guest room and needed the project to be completed within 2 weeks. This design for the project was quickly conceived and turned around within five days from the initial commissioning; primarily owing to the relationships we have with our quality suppliers and flexible contractors.
The Brief A beautiful and inviting bedroom for a client is one of the most privileged assignments, as a bedroom is one of the most intimate spaces in a home.Our clients required us to quickly turn their guest bedroom into a luxurious guest suite; to inject some colour and elegance into what was a very ordinary magnolia bedroom.		The Feedback Our clients have a passion for bright colours and tasteful interior features, so we created a space for them which maximised the limited amount of light and brought a sophistication and warmth to the bedroom. Our clients' reaction was just as warm!
